ever walked along a street then turn a right and see a huge mass of people standing at the traffic lights as if preparing for war, waiting for the lil green commander across the road to sound the charge? ha. i got to such in my 5 day stay in hong kong, it was crazy. maybe if you take a look at the pictures in my next post you'll get what i mean, save a thousand words, my family and i got to experience the evening crowd after only a few hours after the touch down in hong kong international airport, a three hundred dollar taxi ride to the hotel, dorsett olympic--whallah. the night crowd at the 3 main streets after mongkok road! got most of my stuff there on the first night. its crazy, massive crowds of people literally flood the place every night, comparable to orchard road in s'pore. i'll probably develope a phobia of that place if we stayed there longer. heh. dinner was most interesting.we ate the same thing like every night--even for supper. no coffee shops, just a mini shop, prob the size of causeway point's seven eleven, selling noodles and noodles 0.o fish noodles rock. a picture of that on the next post i promise. haha. on sunday night there was no place to eat at 10.30pm we were given a place in another unit. the shutter was already closed but there was a small door intact. lol. check it out man. back door stuff. cool. hah. the best lunch was at bubba gump's from the show forrest gump. i hope they come to singapore. its soo good. anyway. apart from the shopping centers and classy restaurants, it was the slump and muck i stepped on that made me thank god for putting me in singapore. so much nicer. check it out man, a market could be beside an industrial workshop. and a shop keeper could scold you for trying to bargain. the ugly side of hong kong is often concealled. i thought is was easy to bargain with the people.whoops. wrong. got scolded instead. attitude man! got cheated at a chinese snack shop. crap service. nothing compared to singapore's. =p the most surprising thing i got there was mighty to save cd for $19 sgd. lol. got city harvest stuff there too. =) right. a tiring trip of at least 20 km worth of walking for the five days. dim sum rocks. woot. lao po bing gives you indigestion. important info there. =p thats all for now. ciao
